Junior high basketball tournament this weekend

The 19th annual junior high basketball tournament will be Friday and Saturday in the SHS gym.

There will be three Galena teams and one team from Huslia, said Jon Buchanan, athletic director.

Games start at 5 p.m. both nights. Admission is $5 per person.

The coach for the Galena teams is David Wightman. There will be concessions during the tournament.

The tournament teaches players cooperation, being organized, sportsmanship, and social skills, said Mr. Buchanan.

On Saturday night, the players will be treated to a spaghetti feed.
