Galena falls to Houston on the road

The Galena Hawks boy’s basketball team record on the road goes down to 2-3 with the loss to the Houston Hawks at North Pole Middle School on Friday night (March 5).

Galena started the night with an early lead of 22 to 8 in the first quarter, but Houston pushed back to cut the lead to within 4 by the half.

With Galena scoring only 5 points in third quarter to Houston’s 12 points, the Hawks failed to come back in the fourth falling, short with the final score of 57 Houston to 46 Galena.

For Galena, Joe Riddle lead in points with 15, followed by Nathan Moses with 13, and Virgil Sam with 11. Dominic Brogdon has 5 points and Aidan Pitka had 2 points.
