The Galena Lady Hawks beat the Monroe Lady Rams on Friday and Saturday night (Feb. 6 and 7) in the SHS gym.

On Friday night, the Lady Hawks went into overtime with the Lady Rams. The final score was 57-46.

In the overtime, the Lady Hawks had won because of three free-throw attempts in which every shot was made. The successful free throws were made by Sarah Buchanan, Romay Harris, and Kiana Korta. Sarah and Kiana made scored two points; Romay scored three. There was also a last-minute shot made by Romay Harris.

Saturday night’s final score was 38-36.

During the Saturday night games, it was a close game, with the score going back and forth throughout the contest.
