As the Lady Hawks come to the end of a good run at the state tournament, they plan to come back stronger. The coaches have eleven players coming back and recruiting a few players coming up from junior high in addition to that they already have a game plan.

“Have a faster paced game,” said assistant coach Keilah Havner about next year’s team. “We will have a strong outside game.”

The players coming back next year will be Kiana Korta, Kameron Reitan, Julia Riddle, Casey Chikigaq, Mariah Wigley, Elena Jacobs, Emma Nakak, Amanda Kopp, Elizabeth Green, and Lynnae Duncan, along with a few eighth graders.

“We had a great season, very little drama,” said coach Havener. “Unselfish players. It was nice to have experienced players to lead the younger players.”

“Though we are losing 6 seniors, we feel we will have a strong team next year.”

As the season wraps up the Lady Hawks earned themselves, through hard work, the highest GPA award at the state tournament. The average GPA on the Lady Hawks team was 3.93. Courtney Carlo, Kameron Reitan, Romay Harris, and Julia Riddle have been named as all-conference players. Romay Harris was recognized as an All-State player.
