The water plant, which was damaged in a fire last spring, is now fully operational on the GILA campus.

Since the start of the year, students and staff at GILA had been asked to conserve water.

Seven water trucks a week have been driving from the city water plant near the SHS campus to GILA to keep up with the water supply.

“The water plant being down since school started has been a challenge, however I know the city has been working very hard to get the plant operational again,” said Richard Ramage, director of residential life.

“The staff and students has been doing a great job conserving the water, which we appreciate, however we are excited that the plant is operational once again.”
