Skits, musical parodies, and short films will join the next Improv Night performance.

“There a lot of changes I would like to make, but there is still a lot of work to be done,” said Matt McCann, an Improv coach.

The new performances would feature skits, which are pre-memorized scripts, along with musical parodies that reword popular songs much like the famous parody singer Weird Al Yankovic.

Another change will be including short films. Much like the skits, the videos are scripted. The videos would draw parallels between real-life problems that students face in a comedic and enjoyable way.

Even with the new performances being added, Improv – spontaneous, on-the-spot comedy – will still be the main event in the next show.

The next Improv show is planned for some time in December, but may end up being pushed back to January, according to Mr. McCann.
