Finals scheduled for Galena high school students

Finals week for Galena high school students starts on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

The last day of the fall semester is Dec. 18.

Here’s the finals schedule for each class. We’ll update this as changes take place.

• Ms. Bifelt’s finals will be during the last week of the semester, from Monday, Dec. 15, to Thursday, Dec. 18.

• Mrs. Betterton’s finals start Tuesday, Dec. 9 and continue through Friday, Dec. 12. She will use the extra days at the end of the semester if the students need it.

• Ms. Lambrecht’s classes won’t have finals for the whole semester, just a test for the unit they are working on. Ms. Lambrecht’s testing schedule is:
Physical Science 3A – Friday, Dec. 12.
Physical Science 3B and 4B -Thursday, Dec. 11.
Geology 1A – Friday, Dec. 12.
Geology 1B – Thursday, Dec. 11.
Algebra 1, period 2A – Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Algebra 1, period 2B – Friday, Dec. 5.

• Mr. Apfelbeck’s classes – computer business application, web page design, digital photography and digital video – have finals on Monday, Dec. 15 and Tuesday, Dec. 16.

• Mr. Tulloch’s finals are on Thursday, Dec. 11, and Friday, Dec. 12.

• Ms. Redman’s pre-algebra class has finals from Thursday, Dec. 11 to Tuesday, Dec. 16. The math in the health field class has its final on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Consumer math’s final is on the Monday, Dec. 15, and Tuesday, Dec. 16.

• Mr. Davis will start finals on Friday, Dec. 5, and the last day he is accepting any work is Wednesday, Dec. 17.

• Ms. Esmailka will not be giving a final. Students will take the unit 2 test on Wednesday, Dec. 17 and Thursday, Dec. 18.

• Ms. Quinn’s American Lit. class will include participation in the performance of Shakespeare’s The Tempest as part of the final grade, and all of the work in that class is due on Friday, Dec. 12. Creative Writing is doing a presentation from Monday, Dec. 15 to Thursday, Dec. 18. Composition is doing an essay which will be due on Wednesday, Dec. 17 and Thursday, Dec. 18.

• Mr. Lorenzini will be giving his materials out for the test in his classes on Wednesday, Dec. 10. That material is due before students leave for Christmas break.

• Ms. Given’s classes will have finals from Thursday, Dec. 11 through Tuesday, Dec. 16.
