Every athlete on the Galena swim team improved their own records at the Northern Area Championship Meet on March 27-29 at the Hamme Pool in Fairbanks.

The Galena swimmers went up against two other teams from Fairbanks and teams from North Pole and Nome.

“Everybody got personal bests,” said Jason Harris, swim team coach.

Galena received an award for the most improved times, he said. The team came in fourth place. Swimmer Milo Huntington got first in points for his age group, and Clint Kopp got third in points for his age group.
