Galena community member are invited to come, celebrate, and thank individuals or groups that have helped the children of Galena on Monday, April 27 at 7 p.m. at the SHS gym.

There will be thank you notes that can be signed thanking others personally for their acts that have helped provided opportunities for the children of Galena that would not have been available without their support, said Beth Buchanan, Galena schools principal of curriculum and instruction who is helping organize the event.

The notes will be posted all around the gym for everyone to enjoy. This event is meant to celebrate the volunteerism that helps change the lives of children here in Galena, she said.

People are asked to bring finger foods and desserts for all to enjoy.
