The cast has been selected for the newest original musical performed by Galena students.

The theme of the performance will be “Mistaken Identity,” said Natalie Olender, the music and arts director at Ptarmigan Hall, and a playwright and librettist who has penned several musicals for the school.

Ms. Olender has loosely based the play on Shakespeare’s The Twelfth Night, a classic filled with drama, romance, and suspense. The plot will follow different people who go to New York looking for a new life and end up becoming very confused.

Although the dates are not official, it has been decided that the three performances will be in the spring. Ms. Olender, hopes that the extra time will help the actors settle into the show.

“It will be worth waiting for,” says Natalie.
