Cheerleaders premiere at home basketball opener

The cheerleading team plans on performing for the first time next semester during their first basketball home game on January 15 against the Nome Nanooks.

The cheerleaders are preparing with three practices a week on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday for one hour. The girls do both a cardio workout and routines, said cheerleading coach Noel Ruble.

The team plans fundraising for t-shirts and short, said coach Ruble.
