The junior class is sponsoring a fundraiser to fund this year’s prom. They are calling it “Parents Time Out.”

On Sunday, February 25, from 3-7 p.m., the junior class will be offering a dinner in the SHS gym while students take care of the kids. Parents and families can plan now to enjoy their four hours of free time.

Parents and families interested in going should call (907) 328-9398 to register their child for the event.

This will be the final fundraiser for prom, not including the sale of prom tickets. The junior class has done very well so far, said Jaime Landrum, senior class advisor.

The class raised $300 selling baked goods at the JV tournament a couple of weeks ago and then they raised $500 selling concessions at the Nenana band concert earlier this month.

Those juniors who volunteer will not have to buy a prom ticket, she said.
