The Campaigners, a religious student club that brings teenagers closer to God, started meeting last month at the home of Galena high school science teacher Ross Tulloch.

Mr. Tulloch said there were 15 to 20 high school students at the first Campaigners meeting at home. “Everyone is welcome,” he said.

The club is affiliated with the Galena Bible Church and the Young Life club, he said.

Campaigners meet every Wednesday night at the Tulloch family home. The evening starts with a home-cooked meal, then move on to activities and games focusing on religious issue and “deeper issues” in the lives of students, said Mr. Tulloch.

The Campaigners club will meet throughout the year. Mr. Tulloch said there’s no limit to the number of students who wanted to meet, and students didn’t have to attend all meetings throughout the year.
